BCoE honors Dampier, Donohoe and Walters
The Bagley College of Engineering recently recognized three faculty members for their impact on the state, contributions to engineering and ability to secure competitive research funding. Keith Walters, Dave Dampier and Pat Donohoe were presented with the BCoE's top faculty research, service and career achievement awards respectively.
BCoE toasts successful year at annual picnic
School's out and the Bagley College of Engineering's faculty and staff recently celebrated the end another successful academic year. On a sunny May afternoon afternoon, the college's faculty and staff turned out on the university's historic Drill Field to enjoy barbecue, fried catfish and all of the trimmings.
Gregory, Crowder join basketball radio crews
Mississippi State finalized its radio broadcast crews for both the men's and women's basketball teams last Thursday with the announcement that Bart Gregory will join Jim Ellis in the Bulldogs booth, while Jason Crowder will take over the play-by-play duties for the Lady Bulldogs.
Saha named ICAC Cotton Researcher of the Year
Sukumar Saha, a Mississippi State adjunct faculty member in Plant and Soil Sciences, has been named 2011 Cotton Researcher of the Year by the International Cotton Advisory Committee.
Section of North Farm road closed
A section of the North Farm road between Joe Baddley Drive and the entrance to the western parking lot of the A.B. McKay Food Research and Enology Lab building is closed due to construction of a new business incubator building in the Research Park.
This Week in Mississippi State Sports, 05/16/11
Baseball is on the road for a Tuesday evening ballgame with Memphis at AutoZone Park, and then hosts LSU Thursday at 6 p.m. in game one of the final SEC home series of the season. Game 2 is set for Friday at 6:30 p.m., and the series concludes Saturday at 2 p.m.
