Saha named ICAC Cotton Researcher of the Year
Sukumar Saha, a Mississippi State adjunct faculty member in Plant and Soil Sciences, has been named 2011 Cotton Researcher of the Year by the International Cotton Advisory Committee.
Saha has 35 years of professional experience. He worked as an agricultural extension worker for eight years in India before immigrating to the U.S. After working as an assistant research professor for five years at Alabama A&M University, Saha joined the United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service Genetics and Precision Agriculture Unit in Starkville as a research geneticist in 1997.
