Keenum begins term as SACS trustee
Mississippi State President Mark Keenum has been elected to a three-year term on the board of trustees of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' Commission on Colleges.
Leadership changes for Northern Gulf Institute
Robert J. Moorhead has been named director of the university-led Northern Gulf Institute. He also serves as director of the Geosystems Research Institute. Donald C. Jackson has been selected to serve as NGI deputy director.
Reddy receives 2010 Cotton Physiology Award
K. Raja Reddy, a professor in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, received the 2010 Outstanding Research Award in Cotton Physiology at the 2011 Beltwide Cotton Physiology Conference in Atlanta last month.
Brenner appointed to standards committee
Devon Brenner, an associate professor in Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education, has been selected by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards to serve on a national standards committee.
Nominations wanted for 2011 MSU Diversity Awards
The President's Commission on the Status of Minorities is accepting nominations for the 2011 MSU Diversity Awards. The annual awards program is designed to recognize individuals and teams of individuals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to enhancing diversity at Mississippi State.
PCSW accepting Outstanding Women nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 Outstanding Women Awards Program, sponsored by the President's Commission on the Status of Women. Nomination packets are due no later than Feb. 21.
