McConnell recognized for publication's impact

Mark McConnell was honored for the publication having the most impact on Mississippi during ceremonies in Mississippi State's Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station.
The award honors authors whose publication represents a significant breakthrough and improvement of information to producers, consumers and resource managers.
A doctoral student in the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture, McConnell's paper describes a geospatial model he developed that optimizes conservation opportunities and profitability in agricultural landscapes.
George Hopper, director of the Experiment Station, presented McConnell with the award.
