Chemistry department plans golf tournament
An April 20 public golf tournament at Mississippi State will benefit undergraduate scholarships in the university's chemistry department.
One of many activities surrounding the annual Super Bulldog Weekend, the four-person scramble will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start at the MSU Golf Course, located approximately three miles east of campus on Hwy. 182.
Check-in begins at 11 a.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m.
Teams registering before April 13 will receive one free mulligan per player. All registrants will receive a golf shirt, sleeve of premium golf balls, divot tool, and towel. Lunch, drinks, and a complimentary beverage cart also will be provided.
The individual player fee is $100, and the team fee is $400. Tournament limit is 30 teams or 120 golfers.
First-, second- and third-place awards will be given in each flight, along with special awards for closest-to-the-hole, longest drive and more.
