Sun recognized for outstanding teaching
Edwin Sun
Mississippi State University associate forestry professor Edwin Sun was recognized with the annual teaching award at the College of Forest Resources' recent advisory committee banquet.
Sun is an expert in law and policy and has been credited for turning these courses into enjoyable learning experiences for both undergraduate and graduate students. His students have praised him for his mentoring and advising ability, as well as his skills for challenging students to think creatively and critically.
A nine-year veteran, Sun has embraced his teaching role, writing textbooks on natural resource policy and empirical research in economics.
Sun earned his bachelor's degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and master's and doctoral degrees from Auburn University.
