Green Zone training opportunities Wednesday and Thursday
The G. V. "Sonny" Montgomery Center for America's Veterans at Mississippi will offer Green Zone training on Wednesday [Feb. 22] and Thursday [Feb. 23] from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Maddox Multipurpose Room of Nusz Hall -- the new Center for America's Veterans on campus.
The purpose of this training is to encourage awareness of and advocacy for student veterans, service members and dependents at MSU. The training will give insight into veteran, service member and dependent transitioning difficulties, tips on how to be an active listener, and resources available to them. The training will also include Titles III and IX concerns.
Upon completion, participants will receive a Green Zone poster to display in their offices as a designated veteran-friendly area.
