President Keenum: 'Voice your opinion' with consumer survey
Mississippi State University President Mark E. Keenum is reminding faculty and staff that the city of Starkville will begin a public opinion consumer survey of MSU employees this month.
The goal of the survey is to learn about consumer behavior, spending patterns and retail establishments of interest to MSU employees to help inform economic development.
"I often hear people say they would like to have more stores and restaurants available in Starkville. Now there's a chance to voice your opinion," Keenum wrote in a campus-wide email message on Monday [April 4].
"You may be selected to take the survey, which will be sent to your e-mail. I hope you will consider doing this and be thoughtful in filling it out. Mississippi State University would like to have more retail establishments locate in the Starkville area and we want to cooperate with our Starkville community partners to attract new businesses," he wrote.
MSU employees who return a completed survey will be entered into a drawing to win an MSU athletic prize package to include items such as premium seating at a top MSU athletic event, Yeti cooler and gear and MSU apparel.
