Cindy Hyde-Smith to address Stennis-Capitol Press Forum

Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Cindy Hyde-Smith will address the Monday [June 2] Stennis-Capitol Press Forum, which will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at The Capital Club at 125 South Congress Street on the 19th floor in downtown Jackson.
The event is open to the public. Cost to attend is $20, payable at the door. Please make check payable to the Stennis Institute. Pre-registration is required by noon on Friday [May 30]. To register, please send an email to phil.hardwick@msstate.edu indicating your attendance.
Hyde-Smith was elected to her present post in November 2011, following a 12-year career as a Mississippi State Senator for District 39.
She previously received numerous awards and honors for her work as a legislator and champion of agriculture, including the Agriculture Legislator of the Year Award from the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts, the Ambassador Award from the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation, the Achievement Award from Delta Council, and the Outstanding Service to Small Farmers Award from Alcorn State University.
