Early Bird Boot Camp sign-up at Sanderson
The Sanderson Center announces its Early Bird Boot Camp, a program designed for anyone at any fitness level. Classes will be held June 1-July 31 on the front lawn of the Sanderson Center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:20 a.m.
'Avoiding Heat Stress' employee program offered
The Office of Regulatory Compliance and Safety is offering a new program to university employees titled "Avoiding Heat Stress," which addresses the considerations of working in hot environments both indoors and outdoors.
Menopause information sessions Tuesday
Human Resources Management will host Dr. Brandy Patterson, a partner at Ob-Gyn and Associates, on Tuesday for two presentations of "Hot Flashes, Mood Swings and Life: Coping with and Enjoying Menopause."
Regional magazine highlights distance programs
A regional education magazine is highlighting Mississippi State for the second consecutive year because of the university's online teacher education programs in the colleges of Arts and Sciences and Education.
Floral design workshop opens registration
Applications now are being taken for the popular annual floral design workshop held each summer by Mississippi State's floral management program. Now in its 12th year, the weeklong training typically draws participants to the university that range between floral business employees to homeowners interested in the latest design concepts for personal use.
Volunteers needed for Migrant Education Program
The Migrant Education Service Center is in need of volunteers to work with migratory children from ages 3-21. Positions are available in many counties.
Section of North Farm road closed
A section of the North Farm road between Joe Baddley Drive and the entrance to the western parking lot of the A.B. McKay Food Research and Enology Lab building is closed due to construction of a new business incubator building in the Research Park.
