DAFVM Spotlight Employee: BreAnn Hunt
BreAnn Hunt
Business Coordinator
Delta Research and Extension Center
Stoneville
Years in Position: 3 years
Years at MSU: 3.5 years
BreAnn Hunt enjoys her job and her coworkers.
As the business coordinator for the Delta Research and Extension Center, BreAnn Hunt handles all duties associated with purchasing.
She places all online orders for faculty and staff, handles shipping and receiving, maintains records for audit, and ensures all purchases made with the business account have the appropriate documentation and abide by MSU procurement policies.
“I get to shop every day,” she said. “Who wouldn’t love that?! The people here at DREC are the best and are so much fun to work with.”
Hunt is a sports fan and enjoyed the morale boost everyone at DREC experienced after MSU won the national championship in baseball.
“Everyone here was in the best mood for the whole next week,” she said.
Organization, time management, and a good attitude are the most important traits to have in her job. However, with delayed deliveries, patience ranks high on the list as well.
“There is nothing better than a good scanner and color-coding system to help me stay organized,” she said.
Hunt and her husband have one child and two dogs. She enjoys traveling and sports and is currently working towards her Master of Business Administration degree.
