October is Faculty Athletics Month with special events for faculty and staff
To show appreciation to members of Mississippi State University’s faculty and staff and recognize their role as a part of winning the national championship, the university is planning special events to celebrate this accomplishment and designating October as Faculty Athletics Month.
Activities planned for faculty and staff to enjoy include:
-- Monday, Oct. 4, 4:30-6 p.m. National Championship Trophy photo-op @ the Home Plate entrance to Dudy Noble Field. Faculty and staff, bring your phone and family for a picture.
-- Tuesday, Oct. 19, 4-6 p.m. Faculty/Staff and families @ MSU football practice. Participants will meet at the Leo Seal Football Complex. Family is invited and registration is required. Sign up at https://tickets.formstack.com/forms/facultyday
-- Sunday, Oct. 24, 1 p.m. Faculty/Staff Volleyball game: MSU vs. Texas A&M @ Newell-Grissom Building. Admission is free and there will be in-game recognition of faculty and staff.
-- Thursday, Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m. Faculty/Staff Soccer game: MSU vs. Ole Miss @ MSU Soccer Field. Admission is free and there will be in-game recognition of faculty and staff.
-- Saturday, Oct. 30, TBA. Faculty/Staff Football game (also Homecoming): MSU vs. Kentucky @ Davis Wade Stadium. MSU Athletics is offering a special discount on Faculty/Staff tickets. Watch email for additional details on how to purchase tickets.
