Bagley recognizes 11 faculty with endowed positions

Eleven faculty members from six different departments who hold endowed positions were recently recognized by Mississippi State's Bagley College of Engineering.
Five were honored with endowed chairs while six hold endowed professorships. Additionally, five of the positions went to female faculty.
Faculty recognized were:
-- Cindy Bethel, Computer Science and Engineering, Billie Ball Endowed Professorship in Engineering
-- Heejin Cho, Mechanical Engineering, TVA Endowed Professorship in Energy Systems and the Environment
-- Julie Jessop, Chemical Engineering, Hunter Henry Chair
-- Santanu Kundu, Chemical Engineering, Southern Ionics Endowed Chair
-- Yucheng Liu, Mechanical Engineering, Jack Hatcher Chair in Engineering Entrepreneurship
-- David Marcum, Mechanical Engineering, Exxon Mobil Alumni Endowed Professorship
-- Tonya Stone, Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Oswald Rendon-Herrero Diversity Professorship
-- Lesley Strawderman, Industrial & Systems Engineering, International Paper Endowed Chair
-- Rani Sullivan, Aerospace Engineering, Richard H. Johnson Endowed Chair
-- John Usher, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Larry Brown Endowed Professorship
-- Farshid Vahedifard, Civil & Environmental Engineering Civil & Environmental Engineering Advisory Board Endowed Professorship
“We have an outstanding group of faculty within the Bagley College of Engineering and I am excited that we are able to recognize so many of them with endowed positions,” said Jason Keith, dean of the Bagley College of Engineering. “I am also grateful to all of the individuals and companies who have provided the funding for these endowed chairs and professorships. Their support of our faculty enables so much of the fantastic research and educational opportunities that go on within the college.”
