Public presentations set for Career Center director finalists
The search committee for the Career Center director's position at Mississippi State University has invited three finalists to interview on campus.
During their visit, each candidate will hold a public presentation in Colvard Student Union's Fowlkes Auditorium. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend these sessions.
The finalists are:
-- William Fletcher, the director of the Career Development Center at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He has a Master of Education degree in college student personnel from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of Mississippi. His presentation will be held Wednesday [Aug. 30] from 10-11 a.m.
-- Angie Chrestman, the associate director for cooperative education at the MSU Career Center. She has a Master of Science degree in community counseling and a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Mississippi State. Her presentation will be held Friday [Sept. 1] from 10-11 a.m.
-- Jonathan Harrington, the associate director of employer services at the University of Mississippi. He has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Middle Tennessee State University and master's degree in higher education-student personnel degree and Ph.D. in higher education-educational leadership from the University of Mississippi. His presentation will be held Tuesday [Sept. 5] from 2-3 p.m.
At the conclusion of each presentation, campus constituents will have the opportunity to ask questions of the candidate and provide feedback to the search committee. This input in the selection of the next director is critical to the center’s vision of being valued as the university community’s premier resource for providing state-of-the-art services, programs and events to meet the complete career development needs of students and alumni.
