MSU Staff Council hosts MASCO

The MSU Staff Council recently hosted the fall meeting for the Mississippi Association of Staff Council Organizations.
MASCO is made up of Staff Council executive members from all eight IHL universities: Alcorn State University, Delta State University, Jackson State University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi Valley State University, University of Mississippi and the University of Southern Mississippi.
The organization was formed to function as a channel of communication between the various university staff councils, their recognized counterparts, and university faculty senate/councils and to promote interaction between the staff at all state institutions and to enhance communication between the staff and the Council of University Presidents about issues of mutual concern.
Tamara Gibson, MSU Staff Council chair, also serves as the chair of MASCO, Tyler Wheat, MUW Staff Council president, serves as vice chair, and Susan Brooks, MSU Staff Council, serves as secretary.
