Lee named Bulldog Club development coordinator

Tyson Lee

Tyson Lee, who played quarterback at Mississippi State from 2008-09 and recently worked with MSU’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter, has been named development coordinator for the Bulldog Club.

Lee will work to develop and maintain relationships with former MSU student-athletes and assist with development operations and membership growth of the Bulldog Club. The Bulldog Club, established in 1974, is a funding resource for student-athlete scholarships and a means to build and upgrade MSU athletic facilities. The Bulldog Club provides support to over 400 student-athletes.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to work for the Bulldog Club,” Lee said. “It’s an exciting time to be on campus, and I look forward helping make an impact here again.”

Known for his leadership, Lee started 20 games at quarterback from 2008-09. He completed 283-of-481 passes for 2,963 yards and 11 touchdowns. Lee arrived in Starkville after becoming the first player in the history of Itawamba Community College to earn academic All-America and first-team All-America recognition in the same season.

Lee served as a scouting assistant for the St. Louis Rams from 2012-13, working closely with the scouting department and evaluating college and NFL players to help build the team roster during the season and prepare for the NFL Draft. In June 2013, he returned to MSU as a campus representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. For two years, he mentored student-athletes and also cultivated relationships with donors and fundraised, while coordinating leadership meetings for various sports.

Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from MSU in 2010 and later completed a Master of Sports Administration in 2012.

He and his wife, Christa, have two sons, Zeke and Beck.
