Help available: 'Moving Forward After a Disaster'
Participants in the State and School Employees' Health Insurance Plan who have been affected by recent tornadoes and flooding now have access to an employee assistance program through ActiveHealth Management.
ActiveHealth is offering the Aetna Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) at 1-888-238-6232 for telephone counseling, as well as general information about shelters and community and government resources. The line is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Aetna's EAP professional counselors have experience in dealing with disaster and challenging events, and may be able to recommend resources or assist family members and individuals in recovery from any potential storm related trauma.
The Aetna EAP line is available immediately and will stay open for plan participants and family members through July 15, 2011.
