Long named associate dean of Graduate School
Rebecca Long is the new associate dean of the Graduate School at Mississippi State.
Long has more than 20 years of experience in graduate education at both the master's and Ph.D. levels, which has provided her with the knowledge and skills to handle operational and strategic issues in graduate education at the university level, according to the school's leader.
"We are pleased that Dr. Long has accepted this position," said Lori Bruce, associate vice president and dean of the Graduate School at MSU.
Long has served as graduate coordinator in her home department of Management and Information Systems, as well as director of graduate studies for the College of Business, working with the Starkville, Meridian and distance campuses. Most recently, she has served as interim associate dean since July 2014.
