Keenum welcomes new faculty, talks priorities

Mississippi State University President Mark E. Keenum addressed university faculty last Tuesday [Sept. 16] at the annual fall faculty meeting, during which he welcomed the 120 new faculty members hired since last year. He discussed several topics, including his priority of increasing faculty salaries.
Keenum recounted milestones of the year, such as this fall's entering class of freshmen having the highest ACT scores in the university's history.
He also discussed the more than $300 million in construction projects that are currently in progress or at some point in the design process, including the expanded Davis Wade Stadium, a new classroom building, road and infrastructure projects, among others.
