Carskadon hired as digital media reporter

Mississippi State University has hired Bob Carskadon as digital media reporter, director of athletics Scott Stricklin announced Aug. 2. Carskadon, who had served as a correspondent for nearly a year, will cover each of the Bulldogs' 16 varsity sports for HailState.com.
A 2011 graduate of Mississippi State, Carskadon previously served as general manager of Bulldog Sports Radio and covered Mississippi State for Rivals.com. During his time as an undergrad Carskadon was sports editor of The Reflector and worked at Strange Brew Coffeehouse.
"Bob has done a wonderful job telling some of the stories of our student-athletes and teams during the past year," Stricklin said. "Bringing him on-board full time will allow him to continue to tell the story of Mississippi State athletics and the people who make it so special."
Carskadon will write features and stories on HailState.com, and will continue to blog at HailState.com/hailstatebeat; and in his new role, will have expanded video responsibilities.
