Communication's golf tournament tees off Friday
The 6th-annual Mississippi State University Department of Communication Scholarship Golf Tournament is set for Friday, Oct. 19.
A fund-raising event for departmental student scholarships, the tournament will be held at the MSU Golf Course with registration, food and chipping and putting contests from 11:30-12:45 p.m. before a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
In addition to raising money, the tournament provides opportunities to reconnect with alumni and others. Prizes will be given for winning overall teams, numerous hole competitions and the pre-tournament putting and chipping contests.
Other ways to help include sponsoring, giving prizes, donating food and drink for tournament players and workers and volunteering to help work the tournament.
