Health and Benefits Fair on campus Tuesday
MSU Human Resources Management announces the 2012 Health and Benefits Fair. The theme for the fair is "Take Positive Steps Toward Health and Benefits," and employees are invited to step in! Take "positive steps" to workshops, door prizes, and a complimentary retirement seminar hosted by VALIC.
Plan to attend the fair that's most convenient:
-- MSU Starkville Campus, Tuesday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Colvard Student Union, Foster Ballroom
-- MSU Meridian Campus, Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2-6 p.m., Auditorium
In addition to exhibits, employees are invited to the following workshops:
-- "What Your Numbers Tell About Your Health," presented by JuLeigh Baker, MSU Health and Wellness Educator, on Monday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m.-noon, Colvard Student Union, Room 325.
-- "Big Benefits in Flexible Spending Plans: Mediflex and Careflex," presented by Jim Miller, vice president, Southern Administrators and Benefits Consultants, Monday, Sept. 17, 1-2 p.m., Colvard Student Union, Room 325.
-- "Understanding Retirement Options," presented by Elton Thomas, CFP, and Chip Hawkins, with VALIC, Tuesday, Sept. 18, Colvard Student Union, Room 325. All "Take Positive Steps" events are free for employees. Exhibitors include the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS), insurance providers, MSU Benefits staff, and opportunities for you to launch your plan for retirement.
