CVM hosts annual Research Day on Thursday
Research Day is an annual event that highlights and promotes research conducted by veterinary and graduate students at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State.
This year’s CVM Research Day will be held in the Wise Center from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Posters and presentations of ongoing research projects provide a congenial forum for gaining experience presenting and defending research, introducing oneself and one’s research to a wide audience, promoting CVM research on the MSU campus, and perhaps earning an award.
Presentations are given from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. by DVM students/summer scholars, and from 2 to 3:45 p.m. by graduate students. Posters are on display from 8:30 a.m. until mid-afternoon.
This year’s guest speaker, Mark Simpson of the National Cancer Institute/NIH, will deliver a presentation at 1 p.m.
