Research data acquisition and management seminar Thursday
The Office of Research and Economic Development at Mississippi State University will host a responsible conduct of research training session this week.
Titled, “Responsible Data Acquisition and Management,” the free seminar takes place Thursday [Jan. 30] from 3-4 p.m. in the Bost Extension Center theater on the Starkville campus.
Jan Chambers, director of MSU’s Center for Environmental Health Safety, will lead the session and discuss the importance of data integrity to the research process; the range of research products that might be considered data; strategies for responsible data collection, record-keeping and analysis of data; and responsible ownership, sharing and storage of data. Case scenarios will be examined and discussed.
