ITS schedules network maintenance for Dec. 21
Beginning at 10 p.m. on Saturday [Dec. 21], Information Technology Services at Mississippi State University will be performing updates to the campus data network.
This effort will cause interruptions in wired and wireless network service across the Starkville campus, and the initial phase of the effort will also impact enterprise systems and remote MSU locations.
During the initial phase, which is expected to last until approximately 2 a.m., enterprise systems and services such as Banner, myCourses, myState, www.msstate.edu and GroupWise will be unavailable.
Once the initial phase is complete, all enterprise systems and services will be available over the Internet and from remote MSU locations, and wired and wireless network service will then be restored to Starkville campus locations over the next few hours.
ITS expects to complete all updates and restore full network services no later than 8 a.m. on Sunday [Dec. 22]. ITS appreciates your patience as its team performs this critical work.
