Safe Zone training coming up Thursday
Mississippi State University's Safe Zone Advisory Board will host a Safe Zone training session on Thursday [Sept. 28] from 5-8 p.m. at Foster Ballroom in the Colvard Student Union. Faculty, staff and students who have not previously attended are encouraged to register.
Safe Zone training is a 3-hour interactive session that provides information and resources related to sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and more.
Registration is required because of space limitations. To register please go to http://whoozin.com/UX4-MMV-Y4AU.
In addition, Safe Zone is now taking nominations and self-nominations to fill vacancies for representatives on the advisory board. All interested parties will be sent a description of responsibilities and expectations for membership along with a brief questionnaire. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for a vacancy, please contact Scarlett Fyke at sfyke@saffairs.msstate.edu.
Please contact the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center at (662) 325-2033 with any questions.
