MSUPD dispatchers temporarily re-located to Hathorn Hall
In anticipation of upcoming renovations to the Williams Building, the Mississippi State University Police Department’s Communication Division has been re-located to Hathorn Hall.
For walk-in visitors to the police department, a direct dial phone has been installed in the lobby of MSUPD’s Williams Building headquarters. The phone will connect directly to MSUPD’s dispatchers, who will be in the police substation in the lobby of Hathorn Hall. All other phone calls will be handled as normal.
The renovations, which include updates to the dispatch center, a rec room and an interview room, will not impact any other MSUPD units. The department’s headquarters will remain open 24 hours a day.
The renovations to the building are scheduled to begin on June 1 and scheduled to be complete by early August. MSUPD can be reached at (662) 325-2121 or by dialing 911 during emergencies.
