Crunched for time? March seminar to help faculty

The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion at Mississippi State will host a "Tenure and Time Management: How to Manage Your Time so You Can Publish Prolifically and Have a Life Beyond the Ivory Tower" workshop on March 1.

Joy Gaston Gayles from the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity will discuss common time challenges faced by academics, how to avoid the most common mistakes made by faculty when managing their time, strategies to create time for academic writing and research, how to align work time with institutional and personal priorities, and how to organize a network of support and accountability for writing and productivity balance.

The workshop will be held on Memorial Hall's Coskrey Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lunch and networking beginning at 11 a.m. and the workshop slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. Please register for this session at www.ctl.msstate.edu/events.

Workshop participants will also receive a three-month membership to the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity featuring access to a series of professional development webinars, productivity tips, and other resources designed to support faculty.
