Arbor Day celebration and tree planting coming up Friday morning
The Campus Tree Advisory Committee at Mississippi State invites students, faculty, staff and members of the local community to the university's annual Arbor Day celebration on Friday [Feb. 10] at 10 a.m. The special event will be held at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and George Perry Street south of the campus entrance sign at Highway 182.
Amy Moe Hoffman, the collections manager for MSU's Dunn-Seiler Museum will speak, along with other administrators.
Following their remarks, the student chapter of the Society of American Foresters and Waldorf Scholarship recipients will plant three October Glory Red Maple trees.
