Fair Labor Standards Act training sessions scheduled
The Department of Human Resources Management at Mississippi State invites you to enroll in upcoming training sessions offered as a result of the federal Department of Labor's Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) final overtime rule and MSU's implementation.
These sessions are designed to provide education for administrators, supervisors, and employees impacted by the new FLSA regulations.
"The Road to FLSA Compliance" topics will include:
* An overview of the FLSA
* Defining compensable time worked for non-exempt employees under the FLSA for travel, meetings and training, rest and meal periods, after hours work, etc.
* Recordkeeping requirements under the FLSA
* Questions and Answers
Sessions are customized for two groups, 1) Administrators, Managers and Supervisors of non-exempt employees, and 2) Open Sessions for any employee.
All sessions will be held in 181 McArthur Hall. Please be sure to sign up for the appropriate session based on your responsibilities. Please note: Additional information will be coming soon about training opportunities for other employees not on the Starkville campus.
