Elsevier executive to discuss enhancing competitiveness through data analytics
The International Institute at Mississippi State invites faculty and staff to attend a brown bag presentation, Data Analytical Approaches to Enhancing University Competitiveness, presented by Brad Fenwick on Sept. 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Colvard Student Union’s Fowlkes Auditorium.
Fenwick is the vice president of global academic and research relations at Elsevier, a world-leading provider of information solutions of science, health, and technology professionals. He formerly held research executive roles as vice chancellor for research and engagement at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and vice president for research at Virginia Tech.
Fenwick completed his B.S. (Biology), D.V.M, and M.S. at Kansas State University and his Ph.D. (Comparative Pathology) and residency (Diagnostic Pathology) at the University of California, Davis. In 2011, he was named a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science for distinguished contributions in the field of veterinary and comparative medicine, scientific association leadership, editorial review, and research program development and administration. He also was professor of pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, and adjunct professor, Department of Microbiology, College of Arts and Sciences, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
