Celtic Nights brings energetic Irish music, dance to MSU Riley Center on Friday
Exuberant young singers, dancers, actors and musicians will celebrate freedom and Celtic heritage as Celtic Nights brings its Spirit of Freedom show to the MSU Riley Center on Friday [April 1] at 7:30 p.m.
The show commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising of 1916, which led to Irish independence. Costumes and sets hark back to the Ireland of a century ago. Music and dance, both traditional and contemporary, tell a stirring story of courage, liberty and love.
No less than Enda Kenny, the prime minister of Ireland, has enthused, “Celtic Nights have brought our distinctive and evolving music and dance tradition to the world stage and showcased our tradition in spectacular fashion.”
The MSU Riley Center audience will enjoy a rousing, energetic evening that would make St. Patrick proud.
Tickets are $39 and $33 at the MSU Riley Center Box Office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.msurileycenter.com or by calling the box office at 601-696-2200.
