Brief power outage planned for Hand Chemical Laboratory Building Monday afternoon
A mandatory planned power outage has been scheduled for Monday [Jan. 11] beginning at 1:50 p.m. that will affect the Hand Chemical Laboratory Building on Mississippi State's campus in Starkville. The outage is expected to last 15 to 20 minutes.
During the outage, the State Fire Marshal's Office will test the building's fire safety components. The temporary shutdown is part of an ongoing fire protection enhancement project.
If you work in the building, please take any necessary precautions to prepare for the outage.
