Human Resources Management offering benefits workshops this week
The Department of Human Resources Management at Mississippi State is offering two workshops prior to October benefits open enrollment, which takes place Oct. 1-31, for employees interested in learning more about benefits, as well as plan updates and instructions for making benefits changes. Topics include 2016 plan changes for State and School Employees' Health Insurance, and a new $25 physician's office co-pay that will apply in 2016 for Select plan participants.
The sessions will be Wednesday [Sept. 23] from 10-11 a.m., and Thursday [Sept. 24] from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Both sessions will be in the Gardner Conference Room in McArthur Hall. If you are interested in attending, please follow the steps listed below to register.
1) Go to www.hrm.msstate.edu/development/upcoming online.
2) Under "Upcoming Workshops," click on "Benefits Open Enrollment." Click on the session you wish to attend.

Darrell Easley will be coordinating enrollment for the sessions. If you have any questions about registration for this course or require special assistance relating to a disability, please contact him at deasley@hrm.msstate.edu or 662-325-3713.
If you are unable to attend a workshop, a written newsletter that summarizes all plan updates and the procedures required to change your benefits will be forwarded to all MSU employees prior to Oct. 1. You may also schedule an individual appointment with a benefits specialist for questions or additional information by calling 662-325-3713.
If you don't want to change your benefits or participate in October open enrollment, your current benefits will continue into 2016. Open enrollment is required only if you're adding new coverage, changing existing coverage or canceling coverage.
