Mississippi State University's spring commencement ceremonies will be available for online viewing on Friday [May 16] at 7 p.m. and on Saturday [May 17] at 10 a.m. Access the free livestream by clicking here.
Ertharin Cousin, executive director of the United Nations World Food Programme and one of Time's 100 Most Influential People this year, is the featured speaker for both programs. She also will receive an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree at the Saturday graduation.
MSU alumnus and Brazilian native SebastiĆ£o Barbosa will receive an honorary Doctor of Science degree at Friday commencement. After he received master's and doctoral degrees in entomology from MSU, he helped lead eradication of the Mediterranean fruit fly in South America.
The Friday graduation program includes the colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences and its School of Human Sciences; Bagley College of Engineering and its Swalm School of Chemical Engineering; Education; Forest Resources; and Veterinary Medicine.
The Saturday program will feature graduates from the colleges of Architecture, Art and Design; Arts and Sciences; and Business and its Adkerson School of Accountancy.
