Volunteers needed for playground construction project in Plantersville
Volunteer groups are needed to assist with playground construction in Plantersville on Saturday [March 29] from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will be a great opportunity for a spring retreat for any organization with a community-service emphasis.
Volunteer groups will be assisting with project installation and are asked to dress appropriately. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Volunteer groups will need to provide their own transportation.
Tentative schedule
8 a.m. -- Volunteer groups begin arriving.
11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. -- Lunch provided in shifts.
2:30 p.m. -- ribbon cutting ceremony and volunteer groups depart.
The project site is at Grant Wuichet Park, 800 Central St., Plantersville, MS 38862 -- an approximately 70-minute drive from Starkville.
