Maddox, Brand recognized for contributions

Two staff members in Mississippi State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station were recently awarded for outstanding contributions.

Gail Maddox is a business coordinator, and David Brand is a senior research associate, both in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences.

A 10-year veteran, Maddox was recognized for her diligence, dedication, and commitment to her department, university and the community.

Brand is a 12-year veteran of the university, and was praised for his hard work, dedication, and willingness to help others. He maintains the Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Research Facility on the university's North Farm, and serves as fire chief in Mantee.

Dean and director George Hopper presented the awards.
