Riffell receives CFR research award

Sam Riffell


Mississippi State University associate wildlife, fisheries, and aquaculture professor Sam Riffell was recognized with the annual research award at the College of Forest Resources' recent advisory committee banquet.

Riffell is known as a leading research scientist of wildlife conservation in agricultural landscapes.

An eight-year veteran, he has garnered more than $2.9 million in competitive grants and authored/co-authored over 28 peer-reviewed articles.

Riffell earned a bachelor's degree from Asbury College, a master's degree from Baylor University and a doctoral degree from Michigan State University.
