Lt. Gov.-elect Tate Reeves speaks Nov. 29

Lt. Gov.-elect Tate Reeves will be featured Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Mississippi State's next Morris W.H. "Bill" Collins Speaker Series program.

The public event begins at 2 p.m. in the John Grisham Room of the university's Mitchell Memorial Library.

A Rankin County native and Florence High School graduate, Reeves currently is in his second term as Mississippi's 53rd treasurer, the first Republican to serve in the office over Mississippi's 194-year history.

An honors graduate in economics of Millsaps College and a Chartered Financial Analyst, he represents the state as a member of the executive board of the College Savings Plans Network and the board of trustees of the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi.
