Komen breast cancer exhibit here Wednesday

As part of the university's observance of national breast cancer awareness month, Mississippi State will be host to a well-known traveling exhibit Wednesday, Oct. 12.

The distinctive pink "Komen on the Go" interactive mobile display will be located 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of the Colvard Student Union. The modified recreational vehicle is a unit of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer awareness program. For more, click here.

"Komen on the Go" currently is visiting more than 30 communities during its eighth cross-country tour.

"October is national breast cancer awareness month and Susan G. Komen is encouraging people everywhere to take charge of their breast health," said JuLeigh Baker, health educator in MSU's health education and wellness department.

"Everyone who participates in the free interactive program on the RV will receive a drawstring backpack and information about breast self-awareness," Baker added.
