Football opens the 2011 season on the road against the University of Memphis in the Liberty Bowl Thursday at 7 p.m.... Soccer takes on Jackson State at 4 p.m. Friday in Jackson and then Southern Miss Sunday at 1 p.m. in Hattiesburg.... Volleyball opens play in the Community Bankers Classic at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. at 9 p.m. Friday.... Cross-Country runs the Sewanee Invitational in Tennessee Saturday.
