ASC honors Leathem for teaching excellence

Tom Leathem, assistant professor in the Building Construction Science Program at Mississippi State University, was selected by Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) members to receive the Regional Excellence Teaching Award at the ASC Region II Conference and Student Competitions held in Greensboro, N.C., last month.
This annual award is given for a faculty member’s contribution to construction education, excellence in teaching, dedication to the construction profession, and any initial services provided to the international Associated Schools of Construction.
Leathem is now up for the National Excellence Teaching Award, which will be decided at the ASC International Conference in Provo, Utah, in April 2016.
