Campus Operations online with new website

Campus Operations has launched a new website this week that provides another platform for sharing information and enhancing customer service, according to executive director Amy Tuck.

"We are taking advantage of every opportunity to effectively communicate, and our new website provides a perfect vehicle for delivering critical, timely and relevant information to the entire university," she said.

One of the key features of the new site is a direct link for reporting maintenance needs. A bright yellow button takes users straight to the Facilities Management service request form, which may be used by anyone on campus to report any type of maintenance need. As soon as a user submits a request online, it is confirmed via e-mail.

"We want to encourage everyone to use this system. We need to know where repairs need to be made and maintenance performed," Tuck said.

In addition to the service gateway, the site includes an announcement section where information about road closures, building issues and other situations can be quickly disseminated.

"The results of our annual survey revealed that the university community wanted more information about the services we provide and an easy way to report maintenance issues. The new site delivers on both of these requests," said assistant director for business operations Angie Waller.

With its new online presence up and running, Campus Operations is now working on updates to individual units' websites, which will match the format of the Campus Ops site.
