Members of Mississippi State University’s Human Resources Management team were recently invited to present at the 37th-annual Mississippi Public Transit Association meeting held Nov. 13-15 in Natchez.

Chief Human Resources Officer Judy Spencer's presentation topic was FTA Drug Abuse and Alcohol Misuse Testing Program and best practices.

Mississippi State's program received an outstanding rating during a site monitoring visit by MDOT's Drug and Alcohol Compliance Manager earlier this year. MDOT has oversight of this program because of the Starkville-MSU Transit System, funded through a S.M.A.R.T grant awarded in 2012.

The MSU HRM team was also recognized at the awards banquet.

Senior Human Resources Generalist Stephen Green received an award for Outstanding Designated Employee Representative. Spencer received a meritorious award for Outstanding Merit.
