ITAR and OPSEC training blitz starts Tuesday

The Office of Research Security at Mississippi State University is having an ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and OPSEC (Operations Security) training blitz during October and November.

There will three presentations of "Working with ITAR" and "OPSEC - What, Who, Why, When and How." The presentations will be conducted at the High Performance Computing Collaboratory in Room 30 on the following dates:

-- Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2-4 p.m., "Working with ITAR"

-- Thursday, Oct. 10, 3-4 p.m., "OPSEC - What, Who, Why, When and How"

-- Monday, Oct. 21, 1:30-3:30 p.m., "Working with ITAR"

-- Wednesday, Oct. 23, 9-10 a.m., "OPSEC - What, Who, Why, When and How"

-- Wednesday, Nov. 6, 3-4 p.m., "OPSEC - What, Who, Why, When and How"

-- Friday, Nov. 8, 9:30-11:30 a.m.," Working with ITAR"

Come and learn why adhering to the ITAR regulations is vital, what are a PIs responsibilities, what are the research staffs responsibilities, why do I have to worry about ITAR and a lot more. Learn about the five steps of OPSEC and why it is important to you, your research and Mississippi State.
