Mississippi Blues Trail exhibit at library

The Mississippi Blues Trail exhibit at Mitchell Memorial Library was created by a committee led by Jim Tomlinson and including DeeDee Baldwin, Amanda Carlock, Nekita Gandy, Jana Hill, Elizabeth Pickle and Saskia Sonnier.


A newly installed exhibit at Mississippi State's Mitchell Memorial Library highlights the musical history of the state and prominent Mississippi blues musicians.

The second floor exhibit will be featured through the end of August.

Displays include information from the Mississippi Blues Trail website and materials from the Library's Special Collections department, including signed vinyl records, photographs and artist profiles. Featured artists include Bobby Rush, Jimmy Reed, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Mississippi John Hurt, Big Joe Williams, Charley Patton, Little Milton and Muddy Waters.
