LEAP taps 14 for 2011 program

Fourteen Mississippi State staff members are new participants in the university's 2011 Learning Experience for Aspiring Professionals program.

Formerly known as the Staff Leadership Program, LEAP's goals and purpose include the advancement of knowledge, enhancement of leadership skills, and direct practical work application for selected employees.

During the 10-month program, participants meet with campus and community leaders in various areas to explore and understand the goals and priorities of Mississippi State and its departments. Institutional operations, effective team building and employee performance management are among session topics.
