Fulbright ambassador visiting March 24

The Office of International Program Development at Mississippi State will host George Wright, a Fulbright ambassador, on March 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Colvard Student Union's Fowlkes Auditorium.

U.S. citizen faculty members who hold a terminal degree and are interested in the Fulbright Scholar program are invited to attend this information session. A brief PowerPoint focused on "how to" will precede Wright's comments, and there will be a generous Q&A period. Materials will be available, as well.

An economist with a distinguished career in development and health, including public health, rural health and agricultural extension, Wright has served in a number of Middle Eastern and Central Asian nations and has worked extensively with USAID, the World Bank, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and other funding groups. In addition, he has addressed the U.S. Department of State and Congress on issues in his field.

Uzbekistan hosted Wright during his Fulbright experience. Following his return, he served as a Fulbright Selection Committee member.

Please note that if this time frame is not convenient, possible arrangements could be made for appointments throughout the day.
