Stricklin to host radio show beginning July 24

Mississippi State director of athletics Scott Stricklin is set to add another duty to his already busy schedule. The third year athletic director will host "Hail State with Scott Stricklin," a monthly hour-long radio program beginning July 24.

The program will include appearances from newsmakers around the nation, guests from the university and updates on the athletic department. Fans can ask questions via Twitter by directing messages to @HailState and @stricklinmsu.

"This is a great opportunity, working with our friends at Learfield, Eat With Us Group and Ely's, to get the word out about Mississippi State athletics and what we're doing in a fun and innovative way," Stricklin said.

At each show, a reception will be held at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the show beginning at 7 p.m. The first show is scheduled for July 24 at Harvey’s in Starkville. Subsequent shows will be hosted at Park Heights in Tupelo on August 28 and at Ely's in Jackson on September 25. Other show times and dates will be posted online at EatWithUs.com and HailState.com.

"Hail State with Scott Stricklin" is a production of Bulldog Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports.

"We are excited to add this monthly program with Scott to our calendar," said Don Williams, general manager of Bulldog Sports Properties. "Scott is a forward thinking, dynamic athletic director who enjoys engaging with fans. This will give Mississippi State fans throughout the Southeast a chance to hear his plans for the future as well as discuss with peers the topical issues of the day in college athletics."

Reservations for dinner and the show are encouraged, and may be made by e-mailing arma@eatwithus.com or by calling (662) 327-6982.

The show will be broadcast on several Mississippi State Radio Network affiliates and streamed live online on HailState.com.
