'Women of Ireland' brings Irish song, dance to the MSU Riley Center

“Women of Ireland" takes the MSU Riley Center stage on Feb. 21.

Ireland’s musical past is portrayed in an energizing, contemporary setting as the country’s finest singers and dancers storm the stage in “Women of Ireland.”

Five of Ireland’s top female musical performers join with a troupe of phenomenal dancers for this concert production highlighting the purest qualities of Irish music. The touring show comes to the MSU Riley Center in downtown Meridian on Feb. 21 for a 7:30 p.m. performance.

Making up the core of the show are three singers, a fiddler and a dancer.

Irish fiddler Zoe Conway has performed as a solo artist with numerous acts, including Riverdance, and in many prestigious venues -- Carnegie Hall, the Kremlin and the National Concert Hall are just a few.

Highly acclaimed singers Michelle Lally, Ingrid Madsen and Denise Brennan bring powerful voices to the stage, each one boasting an impressive repertoire of traditional Irish music.

Tickets are $40 and $34 at the MSU Riley Center box office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.msurileycenter.com or by calling the box office at 601-696-2200.
